Daughter of acclaimed choreographer Raghuram, Gayathri Raghuram, entered Tamil film industry through Charlie Chaplin with Prabhu Deva, Prabhu and Abhirami. The film faired well at the box office. She followed with Tamil films Whistle, Style, Parasuram, etc. She later did few films in Telugu and Malayalam. Later she took a break from films to complete a degree in Visual Communications from America. She got married to Deepak, a Computer Engineer.
